The Marulan/Tallong network was formed in May 2013, as a result of a community workshop attended by community groups nominated as stakeholders in Boral’s Community Engagement Plan. The concept agreed upon was the building of a Heritage Museum and a Sustainability Park (HASP), located on sites in Marulan and Tallong.

A network composed of representatives from community groups in Marulan and Tallong was established to direct the project. This network held its first meeting on May 21st 2013. Community organisations currently represented and associated with the network are the:

  • Marulan Lions Club Marulan Senior Citizens 


To develop an integrated network of sites and facilities that showcase the heritage values and tourism potential of the villages and surrounds.
