The Path To a Circular Economy

Up until the 1960s, before plastic became popular, a circular economy was the norm. However, over the past few decades we have become part of a linear economy, using a 'take-make-waste' approach. A circular economy is about getting the best value out of our materials – reuse, reduce and recycle.

Chamber members are invited to attend a seminar that introduces you to the Circular Economy concept to learn how you can maximise the use of valuable resources to contribute to innovation, growth and job creation.

Panelists will share examples of their innovative work in waste and the re-use of materials and how this has economic and social benefits. Professor Veena Sahajwalla, one of Australia’s leading engineers, will be the keynote speaker.

Date:  26 February 2020 Place: Goulburn Workers Club 1 McKell Pl, Goulburn NSW 2580 Cost:  FREE but you need to register here.
