Goulburn Mulwaree Council established a Mayoral Relief Drought Fund to assist farmers in the Goulburn Mulwaree Local Government Area suffering from a minimised income and additional costs to feed stock.
Tranche one involves distribution of corporate cards to the value of $100 to be used at the recipient’s discretion. Trance one is now open for applications.
Applicants must have a property of 100 hectares or more and rely on more than 50% of their regular income from ‘on farm’ activity.
Tranche two will be distributed in early 2019 and will assist funding the cost of domestic water needs to farmers. Transport cost of having water distributed can be funded from Federal Government grants.
Forms are available in the Civic Centre or online at goulburn.nsw.gov.au. Applicants are required to fill in the simple questionnaire and return to Council – this can be done at customer service in the Civic Centre, via email to firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone on 4823 4444.
